RBX Skirting Rubber

Skirting rubber is common to every conveyor application and paramount in the prevention of spillage at material loading points. It is a specifically designed rubber sheet used as sealing strip on conveyor system loading, transfer and discharge points. Skirting rubber is used to direct material onto the conveyor belt and reduce spillage. We stock an extensive range of skirting rubber ensuring fast delivery to site and customer peace of mind. At Screen spares we stock a full range of skirting rubber in a variety of different rubber compounds, widths and thicknesses..

Construction & Material

  • Made from high-tensile, natural or synthetic rubber compounds.

  • Formulated to withstand abrasion, impact, and weathering.

  • Available in various thicknesses (6 mm to 25 mm) and widths to suit different conveyors.

  • Can be supplied in flat, beveled, or chamfered edge profiles for optimal sealing performance.

  • Optionally reinforced with fabric layers for added tear resistance.

Types Of Skirting Rubber

Type Description
Standard Black Skirting Rubber
General-purpose; used in most applications
Soft Skirting Rubber (50-60 Shore A)
More flexible; gentle on belt; for light-duty materials
Hard Skirting Rubber (70-75 Shore A)
Tougher; longer wear life; for heavy materials and high impact
Oil-Resistant Skirting Rubber
For use with oily or greasy materials
Heat-Resistant Skirting Rubber
Suitable for hot materials (cement, coal, etc.)
Fire-Resistant Skirting Rubber
For use in coal handling and flammable environments
Food-Grade White Rubber
Non-toxic rubber for food and pharma materials
Polyurethane Skirting (PU)
Extremely wear-resistant; high-performance alternative to rubber
Dual Seal Skirting
Combines soft sealing edge + hard base for performance and longer life

Special Grades Available

  • Food-grade white rubber – For hygiene-critical applications
  • Flame-retardant rubber – For coal and thermal plants
  • Anti-static skirting – For explosive environments
